Alexis M Ramos

Branching out from  3-D and exploring alternative surfaces, textures, mediums I wanted to convey the relationship between the surface and treatment.  This is a new method of expression for me and the methodology is still evolving. These pieces are an attempt to create an outlet while still exploring my own creative process. They are not perfect, the order and control I apply is an illusion, when a piece is finished, I must move on and begin again. As an artist, we are often our own worst critique with this series I hope to afford my self more freedom from the self-imposed structure I have created. Exploring how line and shape work in tandem with color is an area that i will continue to expore.
