Taking advantage of continuing education courses, I was granted an opportunity to gain new knowledge and techniques while exploring the wonderfulness of warm and hot glass. The use of this alternative discipline taught me a new respect for the creative work space. It is essential to work collaboratively with a team to help bring these sculptures to life. It was truly an invaluable lesson to me as both a person and an artist. This body of work is an abstract exploration of shape and form using the fluidity of hot glass. This medium requires a great respect for the material in order to manipulate it while being vigilant of the protocols in order to ensure the safety of the lab.
